Generali Group Switzerland worked with Swiss Post Solutions to address the growing complexity of managing thousands of incoming documents each day across its Nyon and Adliswil locations. With nearly one million customers contacting the insurer by email, post, and fax, Generali needed a more central, efficient way to handle mailroom and document-processing activities while reducing media disruptions and improving information logistics.

Swiss Post Solutions implemented a fully outsourced incoming mail and document management service: sorting, scanning, electronic classification of more than 15 document types, data extraction and validation, and tracking via unique document IDs stored in a central database. The solution digitalized all incoming post on a daily basis, improved traceability and confidentiality, and supported faster processing and reaction times, while original documents were archived for 90 days before long-term storage.
