ELFS Shared Service - Customer Case Study

ELFS Shared Service provides shared financial services to NHS organisations, including accounts payable, and was manually processing around 30,000 invoices each month across five client organisations. To improve efficiency, transparency, and service quality, ELFS turned to Swiss Post Solutions (SPS) for a paperless invoice processing and purchase-to-pay solution.

Swiss Post Solutions automated ELFS’s invoice capture, workflow, and approval process using OCR and a hosted platform that integrates with client ERP systems. The result was faster processing, better auditability, and improved decision-making, with invoices processed per employee rising from 13,000 to 25,000 and monthly volumes reaching 60,000 invoices; ELFS also expanded its client base from 5 to 12 Trusts and now serves 17 organisations in total.
