Brakes, a leading food service business in the Brakes Group, needed a way to move away from printing and posting nearly half a million customer statements a year across seven brands. Swiss Post Solutions (SPS) was brought in to support a smooth transition from paper statements to a more sustainable and scalable electronic billing solution.
Swiss Post Solutions implemented an e-statements and online portal service, supported by flyer campaigns, a dedicated helpdesk, and email PDF delivery for direct debit customers. The result was strong customer adoption, with 73% of documents accessed online or via e-billing, 80% lower delivery costs, 1,000 paper statements saved each week, 1.5 tonnes of annual carbon savings, and four days per month saved for the finance team.
