Case Study: PGA Portugália Airlines achieves leaner, integrated maintenance with Swiss AviationSoftware's AMOS on Oracle

A Swiss AviationSoftware Case Study

Preview of the PGA Portugalia Airlines Case Study

Portugália Airlines Launch customer for AMOS on Oracle

PGA Portugalia Airlines, a Lisbon-based regional carrier with a 14-aircraft fleet and part of the TAP Group, needed to replace an end-of-life maintenance and engineering system that no longer met legal requirements and forced duplicate data entry across multiple applications. Seeking easier reporting, a user-friendly GUI and lower hardware costs, PGA selected Swiss AviationSoftware’s AMOS and became the launch customer to run AMOS on Oracle.

Swiss AviationSoftware implemented AMOS on Oracle, migrated extensive historical data from multiple sources, and trained 120 users through e-learning, classroom sessions and a train‑the‑trainer approach; PGA went live in August 2012 after roughly one year of project work. The AMOS deployment—integrated with SAP finance and NetLine/OPS—created a single company-wide source for M&E data, reduced manual work and man-hours, streamlined maintenance processes and now manages PGA’s entire fleet.
