Air Transat - Customer Case Study

Air Transat, a Canadian holiday airline carrying about three million passengers to nearly 60 destinations with a growing fleet (about 21 aircraft), was operating with an outdated MRO system that lacked planning and engineering capabilities and relied on multiple add-on tools. After a thorough RFI/RFP and vendor evaluations, Air Transat selected AMOS from Swiss AviationSoftware in 2007 to provide a single, fully integrated maintenance, engineering and logistics platform.

Swiss AviationSoftware implemented AMOS company-wide in a ten-month, non-customized rollout, training 20–25 core users and using a train‑the‑trainer model to reach about 150 mechanics; today roughly 300 users work in AMOS. The project streamlined and harmonized processes across bases, reduced the IT architecture to mainly AMOS with a single interface to flight ops, shifted data entry to mechanics for better quality, extended North American support hours, and delivered tangible productivity improvements and cost savings.
