Swb AG Archives The Last 100 GB Worth Of HCL Notes Data With SWING Seascape

swb AG, a German energy supplier serving Bremen and Bremerhaven, had used Lotus Notes since 1998 and, as part of a modernization effort, migrated email to Microsoft 365 and many applications to SAP and RoXtra. That left around 50 Lotus Notes databases with years of business data that needed to be archived in a non-Notes format for archiving and e-discovery. swb AG worked with SWING Software and its Seascape for Notes product through its partner We4IT to meet the tight project deadline.

SWING Software’s Seascape for Notes was used to archive the remaining Notes databases to PDF with accurate form conversion, document links, and searchable output. More than 50 databases from two Domino servers, totaling about 100 GB of data, were archived into a network folder with an automatically generated structure, and the project finished well before the deadline. The Domino servers were then decommissioned, and the archived files were easy for users to navigate and use.
