O-I Glass, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of glass packaging products, needed to decommission a large Lotus Notes and Domino environment spanning 110 servers and about 10,000 databases. The company wanted to phase out legacy applications gradually while preserving access to historical data, and it worked with SWING Software using Seascape for Notes.

SWING Software implemented Seascape for Notes to archive Lotus Notes applications in a web-based format that preserved categorized views, forms, embedded views, and doclinks while transforming forms to PDF. The project helped O-I Glass reduce its active footprint to fewer than 25 critical applications after four years, with historical data stored in a single file share repository and made easy to access and manage through the Seascape interface.
