FUJIFILM Europe Improves The Quotation Process With SWING PDF Converter For Notes

FUJIFILM Europe GmbH, the European strategic headquarters of Fujifilm Corporation, needed a faster way to create quotation PDFs directly from its Lotus Notes CRM system so quotes could be emailed and archived without relying on a cumbersome, manual MS Word-based process. The company wanted a solution that would work on both server-based databases and local laptop replicas. SWING Software’s PDF Converter for Notes was selected to meet this need.

SWING Software implemented a tightly integrated Lotus Notes solution that used an alternate Notes form and LotusScript to generate PDF quotations automatically from quote line documents. The vendor also helped resolve technical issues during development, including support for graphics and page-margins in headers and footers. The result was a quote-to-PDF process that now takes only a few seconds instead of up to an hour, saving about one hour per quote and roughly 10 man-hours per week, or 40 man-hours per month, for the initial 150-user rollout.
