The Linden, a newly constructed multifamily community in Oakland, California, needed a secure and convenient way to manage access for residents, visitors, deliveries, and parking. The property team wanted a system that would protect package and mail areas, support a smooth move-in process for new residents, and reduce the burden on management. Swiftlane’s cloud-based access control and video intercom system was chosen as the building’s first access control solution.

Swiftlane implemented touchless access, video intercom, temporary delivery access, and secure parking gate control, all managed through an easy-to-use admin dashboard. Residents could enroll from their mobile devices and use facial recognition, while the property manager could remotely open gates and grant access from anywhere. The result was simpler onboarding, stronger package and parking security, and a user-friendly experience; Catherine Hsu noted that only two or three residents needed help and the other 27 had no trouble getting set up.
