Voyage Uses Skylark to Enable Autonomous Taxi Fleet

Voyage, a company developing autonomous taxi services, faced the challenge of quickly deploying a low-cost, reliable, and safe self-driving transportation solution in real-world environments. To expedite their roll-out, they needed centimeter-accurate GPS technology for precise vehicle localization without the massive overhead of developing it in-house. They partnered with vendor Swift Navigation and implemented its Skylark Precise Positioning Service.

The solution provided by Swift Navigation delivered the critical centimeter-level precision required for Voyage's vehicles to navigate safely and stop accurately at customer doorsteps. This allowed Voyage to successfully deploy a fleet of self-driving taxis in a San Jose community, providing daily rides and improving mobility for residents. As a direct result of this successful implementation, Voyage is expanding its service to a much larger community in Florida, relying on Swift Navigation's technology to scale its operations.
