Milipass MyData Authentication Service Securely combining civilian and military data for the first time for the Republic of Korea Army

Milipass, a military data platform for the Republic of Korea Army, faced the challenge of securely combining various types of personal and confidential military data for its users. They needed a highly secure authentication solution that could also operate reliably in the off-the-network environments common to many rural military bases, all while preventing data leaks.

swIDch provided its OTAC (One-Time Authentication Code) technology to serve as the core authentication method for the Milipass platform. This solution enabled secure, single-step identification and authentication without requiring a network connection. The results included the establishment of a non-face-to-face access control system that improved COVID-19 safety and provided a more efficient user experience for a large number of soldiers across multiple facilities.
