Junior League of Birmingham - Customer Case Study

The Junior League of Birmingham launched the Community of Lights Centennial Campaign to raise $1.25 million over five years and provide a lead gift to One Place Metro Alabama Family Justice Center. Faced with the challenge of launching an inaugural online campaign and event with 20 "Torchbearers" (each committed to raising $10,000), the Junior League partnered with Swell Fundraising, using Swell Fundraising's event management and peer-to-peer fundraising platform to build an interactive campaign site and streamline online giving.

Using Swell Fundraising’s platform to accept donations, credit and track Torchbearers, and enable pre‑/during/post‑event gifts (including card swipes), the campaign drove 18,386 visits to the campaign site, generated 849 individual donations, and brought in 623 first‑time donors — with 56% of campaign funds given by non‑league members. Swell Fundraising’s tools increased online presence, encouraged peer‑to‑peer fundraising, and made donating easy and measurable for the Junior League of Birmingham.
