First Light, a nonprofit that runs an annual Dancing with the Stars–style competitive fundraising event, needed to automate all aspects of team fundraising and deliver a seamless experience for both in-person and virtual attendees. They partnered with Swell Fundraising to deploy hybrid ticketing, integrated team fundraising, text-to-give and a Virtual Module to support a blended live and online audience.

Swell Fundraising built a single event website with hybrid ticketing, team pages, leaderboards, integrated giving and a livestream-enabled Virtual Module with donor recognition and chat. The campaign drove 454 individual gifts and roughly $97k in revenue (documented as $97,280), exceeded budget goals, engaged 10 dance teams, 382 pre-registered guests and 435 online attendees across 56 cities, increasing real-time donor engagement and enabling competitive scoring for a Top Team award.
