The American Cancer Society engaged Swell Fundraising to launch the inaugural Steel City Soiree, a ticketed fundraising event centered on the 2017 Boy of Steel. ACS needed to kick off an event and social campaign, spotlight fifteen ambassadors, drive fundraising before and during the event, sell tickets online and onsite, and provide an easy way to accept donations anywhere — using Swell Fundraising’s event microsite, ticketing and mobile donation tools.

Swell Fundraising implemented a branded event microsite from templates, online ticketing, ambassador pages with pre-made social share buttons and leaderboards, gift integration and tracking, and the Swell iPad app for onsite donations. The campaign raised $40,620 (more than $30,000 before the event) and generated 6,683 visits to the event site, helping ambassadors meet goals while keeping the Boy of Steel mission front and center.
