Ensueño, AlEn USA’s fabric softener brand, wanted to boost brand awareness, secure better in-store displays, and drive social engagement among both Hispanic and Anglo consumers. The challenge was to stand out in a competitive fabric softener market while encouraging shoppers to try an eco-friendly, budget-minded alternative to higher-priced brands. Sweeppea helped support these goals with a sweepstakes promotion tied to the brand’s product and retail presence.
Sweeppea implemented a web-and-text-to-win sweepstakes promoted through Facebook and Instagram location-based ads, plus in-store point-of-sale displays that let shoppers enter by texting a keyword. The prize was twelve $1,500 checks toward a new washer and dryer, creating a strong fit with the product category. The campaign generated well over 1 million impressions, thousands of social engagements and entries, and increased retail product sales for the quarter, with the client saying they wanted to start planning the next promotion.
