Strava, the social fitness network for tracking cycling, running, and other GPS activities, wanted to expand its reach to Samsung Galaxy Watch users but lacked the technology to support Samsung devices. SweatWorks, with its wearable and Tizen expertise, was brought in to help bridge that gap and enable Strava on Samsung’s independent smartwatch platform.

SweatWorks designed and provided the architectural support for a completely custom Strava application for Samsung devices, leveraging its knowledge of wearables such as heart rate, GPS location, and live tracking. The solution enabled Strava users to track fitness directly from their watch and opened the platform to Samsung watch users, extending Strava’s community to a new wearable audience.
