Digital Transformation for Improved Employee Transport

Singapore Airlines and its subsidiary, SIA Engineering Company, faced employee transport challenges due to split team schedules and low bus utilization on their fixed-route shuttle service between MRT stations and their Airline House office. This resulted in high costs, limited pick-up points, and a lack of operational visibility. They engaged SWAT Mobility to help digitize the transport system and find a more efficient solution.

SWAT Mobility implemented its Digital Fixed Route solution, which included the SWATBiz mobile app for employees to book, track, and pay for subsidized rides. This allowed Singapore Airlines to expand from 4 to 8 MRT stops. The system used booking data to right-size fleets and optimize routes. The results included a 27.8% monthly increase in passengers in the first three months and an average ride rating of 4.5 out of 5, leading to significant cost savings for the airline.
