Case Study: Lucca streamlines HR expense management with Swan embedded banking

Well-established HR software enters fintech territory

Lucca, a French HR software provider, wanted to reduce the time finance and administrative teams spent on cumbersome expense and purchasing workflows. To solve this, it partnered with Swan and used Swan’s Banking-as-a-Service platform to add embedded banking capabilities to its product.

With Swan, Lucca launched payment accounts, virtual and physical expense cards, and automated payment flows directly inside its HR software. The result was faster expense management, stronger user adoption, and a meaningful new revenue stream: card transactions and volume more than tripled year over year, nearly 6,000 cards were issued, and Lucca processed 42 million euros in card payments, including 30 million euros in the first half of 2024 alone.
