A Suse Case Study
Universal Commodity Exchange (UCX), a next-generation national commodity exchange in India, needed a flexible, reliable, and low-cost trading platform that could support fast time-to-market and high-availability financial operations. To meet these demands, UCX chose SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for its mission-critical SAP ERP environment and began migrating other core trading components from Windows to SUSE.
SUSE implemented a componentized Linux-based platform that supports UCX’s trading, settlement, and clearing processes across resilient data centers. The result has been near-real-time trade settlement and stronger reliability, security, and performance, while reducing total cost of ownership; UCX also reported that deploying a new SUSE Linux instance on a physical server takes less than two hours, helping it stay ahead on time-to-market.
