Tyro Payments, Australia’s independent EFTPOS and financial services provider, needed to keep card payments fast, secure, and always available as transaction volumes grew. Its existing Linux environment was becoming costly and harder to scale, and Tyro wanted better vendor support to protect its non-stop payment processing promise. Suse provided the Linux platform and support Tyro used, including SUSE Linux Enterprise Server with Expanded Support.

Suse helped Tyro migrate from Red Hat Enterprise Linux in a phased, low-risk way, while also supporting both old and new systems during the transition. The move cut annual subscription costs by 50%, maintained high availability across more than 100 virtual servers in two data centers, and improved patch management, automation, and DevOps readiness.
