Sokołów S.A., a major Polish meat producer, needed faster and more reliable reporting to keep up with its large distribution network and rapidly changing market demand. Its existing analytics system was slow and unstable, with reports sometimes taking days to finish or failing before completion. Sokołów turned to Suse and used SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications to support SAP BW on SAP HANA.

Suse implemented a high-performance platform for Sokołów’s SAP environment, enabling a successful rollout across locations and improving supportability and stability. The results were dramatic: some reports became available tens of times faster, one VAT report dropped from days to hours, and database size was reduced by 74%. Sokołów also lowered operational and maintenance costs and reduced risk through a more open, well-supported technology stack.
