Pneuhage - Customer Case Study

Pneuhage, a German tire services company, wanted a scalable, cost-effective platform to replace its aging Tru64 UNIX environment as it expanded online shops, SAP ERP use, and partner programs. Working with Suse and using SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, Pneuhage sought a stable foundation for running workloads across different hardware platforms while reducing costs and simplifying management.

Suse implemented SUSE Linux Enterprise Server on IBM POWER and x86 systems, including VMware virtualized servers, giving Pneuhage a unified operating system for mission-critical SAP, web, and archive applications. The result was smoother migration, high availability with minimal reboots, easier automation and patching, and substantially lower licensing and total IT costs, with fast, stable virtual servers and no need for extensive tuning.
