Phact B.V, a Netherlands-based computer services company, needed a storage platform that could keep up with rapidly growing data volumes from telecom clients while staying cost-effective for a lean IT team. Its existing systems were reaching capacity limits and were too hard to scale quickly for new test environments and changing business demands. Phact B.V chose Suse and SUSE Enterprise Storage to modernize its storage infrastructure.

Suse implemented a software-defined storage solution based on Ceph, using commodity servers and drives to create a scalable, self-managing cluster with enterprise support. The result was lower IT costs, easier administration, and the ability to expand storage in small increments as needed. The self-healing setup improved availability and reduced emergency data center trips, while also helping Phact B.V respond faster to customer requests and bring new services to market more quickly.
