Nakilat, a Qatari shipping and maritime company critical to Qatar’s LNG supply chain, needed to replace aging, costly-to-maintain IT systems supporting its SAP ERP environment. To advance its digital transformation goals, Nakilat turned to SUSE and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, along with new Fujitsu hardware and SAP HANA.

SUSE helped Nakilat migrate to a scalable, open-source platform that improved performance, stability, and security while supporting SAP HANA and S/4HANA Finance. The results were significant: IT costs were cut by 50%, servers were consolidated by 75%, employee productivity rose by 30%, administration time dropped by 40%, and report generation time fell from 30 minutes to less than one minute.
