KIABI, the major French fashion retailer, needed greater flexibility and less dependence on a single vendor across its IT environment. To modernize its core systems, KIABI chose SUSE Linux Enterprise Server from Suse to replace much of its Sun Solaris and IBM AIX infrastructure.

Suse implemented a migration of more than 100 servers to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, later scaling to around 200 servers with over 90% virtualized on VMware. The new platform doubled performance for some Oracle databases, reduced logistics IT costs by more than 30%, and cut time-to-market for new services from weeks to hours.
