iSphere Technologies - Customer Case Study

iSphere Technologies, a South African managed services provider, wanted to launch iHANA, a new SAP HANA as-a-service platform that would give customers enterprise-class performance and reliability without the cost and complexity of on-premises infrastructure. To do this, iSphere Technologies turned to Suse, using SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications alongside a Fujitsu-integrated SAP HANA environment.

Suse helped iSphere Technologies build a highly available, scalable platform with strong SAP-specific tuning and simpler management through a single pane of glass. The deployment went live in end-February 2016 and took just two and a half months end to end, including only two weeks for the physical systems; at launch, 12 SAP HANA customers were already running on the platform, and iSphere Technologies reported 99.999% availability, faster reporting and decision-making, and rapid growth potential as demand increased.
