A Suse Case Study

INSERM - Customer Case Study

INSERM, the French national research agency, needed a stable, cost-effective, high-performance Linux platform for its large and complex administrative environment. After Red Hat changed its pricing, INSERM looked for an alternative with similar technical capabilities and easier management, and chose Suse products including SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.

Suse implemented SUSE Linux Enterprise Server as INSERM’s reference architecture, along with SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension and SUSE Manager. The result was standardization across most new server deployments, improved availability and performance, reduced TCO, and faster patching and update management with better visibility and control over critical security updates.
