INFONAVIT, Mexico’s national housing fund and mortgage provider, needed a new fiscal payment collection system to increase revenue, cut costs, and streamline processes. Its existing infrastructure lacked the flexibility, security, and scalability required for a modern solution, so it turned to SUSE and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.

SUSE implemented SAP Public Sector Collections and Disbursements on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, integrated with INFONAVIT’s SAP ERP environment. The result was a stable, high-performance platform that helped INFONAVIT achieve a return on investment in 12 months, reduce implementation costs by more than 50%, save about US$3 million in hardware and US$1.5 million in software licensing, and improve flexibility, security, and reliability.
