Hillarys, the UK’s leading retailer and manufacturer of made-to-measure window coverings, needed to modernize its aging HP-UX/SAP environment as ECC5 reached end of support and system performance started slowing mobile apps, CRM, and real-time reporting. To support its move to SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA, Hillarys selected SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications and SUSE Manager from Suse.

Suse implemented a high-performance, SAP-optimized Linux platform on Huawei x86 hardware, helping Hillarys complete the migration and improve reliability. The new setup cut CRM response times to near-instant access, reduced overnight data upload times by more than 50 percent, sped up reporting from 20 minutes to seconds, and improved first-call resolution and customer experience, while delivering the robustness needed for business-critical SAP systems.
