A Suse Case Study
DKG Groep, a Netherlands-based kitchen manufacturer and retailer with 33 shops, needed to keep complex SAP-driven business processes running smoothly as growth and an unforgiving production schedule made delays and unnecessary overtime a risk. The company had been running SAP ERP on Windows and turned to Suse, specifically Suse Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications, to create a more reliable platform for its expanding operations.
Suse implemented Suse Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications on new Dell EMC hardware, integrated with SAP HANA and two VMware servers to improve backup, recovery, and flexibility. As a result, DKG Groep gained consistent performance, 24/7 direct SAP support, and a more stable manufacturing process; production data generation dropped from five to ten hours a day to just three and a half hours, helping eliminate delays and support future growth.
