DARZ GmbH, a high-security data center and IT services provider in Darmstadt, wanted to launch a new private-cloud business and needed a flexible, secure, multi-tenant infrastructure that could be set up quickly for customers. To meet this challenge, it turned to Suse products including SUSE OpenStack Cloud, SUSE Manager, and Crowbar.

Suse implemented an automated cloud platform that streamlined provisioning, administration, and scale-out across the environment. The result was up to 1,400 virtual machines running on the new infrastructure, improved reliability and no-downtime updates, lower operating costs, and a new revenue stream for DARZ GmbH, while helping it attract additional customers and offer IaaS services at attractive prices.
