Suse implemented SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for System z on Colacem’s IBM zEnterprise EC12 mainframe, alongside SAP ERP and related applications. The solution improved availability, scalability, and reliability, reduced latency to near zero through mainframe networking, and helped Colacem restart critical operations within four hours in disaster recovery scenarios. It also streamlined updates and lowered licensing and support costs, giving Colacem a faster and more cost-effective way to manage its global operations.
