China Minsheng Banking Corporation - Customer Case Study

China Minsheng Banking Corporation, a major commercial bank in China, needed to cut IT costs while supporting faster development of online and mobile banking services. It also wanted to reduce dependence on expensive proprietary minicomputers and improve support for SAP systems and application delivery. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications was chosen to help address these challenges.

SUSE implemented SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications and SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension on x86 servers to support CMBC’s SAP environment, including SAP HANA. As a result, China Minsheng Banking Corporation cut IT infrastructure TCO by 80 percent, reduced SAP HANA hardware costs by 50 percent, and was able to resolve 80 percent of issues in-house, while improving reliability and accelerating application delivery.
