Changchun University of Technology - Customer Case Study

Changchun University of Technology (CCUT) needed a better way to give students hands-on cloud computing experience while simplifying the management of many test and development environments. Using Suse OpenStack Cloud and Suse Linux Enterprise Server, the university replaced a fragmented PC-based setup with a private cloud that could also support an online examination platform.

Suse implemented a centralized, standardized cloud environment on 15 physical servers, enabling CCUT to provision virtual machines in minutes and manage them through a unified interface. The solution reduced floor space, power and cooling needs, cut administration time and external support costs, and improved reliability and recovery after outages.
