Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL), one of Sri Lanka’s largest consumer goods manufacturers, needed a single ERP platform to manage complex operations across finance, sales, manufacturing, logistics and quality while meeting strict international standards. To support this, CBL chose Suse, deploying SAP ERP on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications with the SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension and 24/7 Priority Support.

Suse implemented a highly available two-node clustered environment on HP servers, giving CBL integrated support across the SAP stack and a secure, high-performance platform. The result was improved SAP application response times by 20%, more than 98% availability for the business-critical ERP system, and considerably lower total cost of ownership than UNIX platforms, while also reducing administration effort and operational costs.
