C&A - Customer Case Study

C&A, one of Europe’s largest fashion retailers, needed a faster and more reliable way to run its omnichannel operations as slow data exchange between applications and databases was limiting business agility. To support critical SAP and ERP workloads on a single highly available platform, C&A turned to SUSE and used SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for z Systems on its IBM mainframe.

SUSE implemented a migration from IBM AIX servers to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for z Systems, consolidating applications and databases and leveraging mainframe IFL processors and HiperSockets. As a result, C&A improved performance for data-intensive workflows, achieved low-latency data exchange, and strengthened reliability and backup capabilities, helping keep operations running around the clock while also reducing operating costs.
