Boydak Holding, a large Turkish conglomerate with more than 3,000 SAP users, needed to modernize its mission-critical SAP landscape and migrate to SAP HANA in a controlled, low-risk way. Working with Suse and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications, the company aimed to improve performance, support high availability, and prepare for S/4HANA while reusing existing infrastructure where possible.

Suse helped Boydak Holding deploy SAP HANA on IBM Power servers using SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications and the High Availability Extension, enabling synchronized replication across two data centers. The result was a rapid TDI rollout, a 74% reduction in database size, and report speed improvements ranging from 1.68x to 126.5x, with some reports dropping from 10 minutes to 5 seconds.
