ARaymond, a global manufacturer of fastening and assembly solutions, needed to modernize its SAP environment to support just-in-time customer demands, improve reporting performance, and reduce the risk of downtime across its worldwide operations. The company also wanted a smoother path to SAP HANA and better control over its growing IT complexity. ARaymond chose SUSE for its SAP infrastructure, including SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications, SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension, and SUSE Manager.

SUSE helped ARaymond migrate its SAP BI landscape to SAP HANA with high availability and data replication across two data centers, while simplifying VM and server management. The result was a more stable, reliable platform that supports always-on SAP systems, reduces administration workload, and lowers IT costs as the SAP landscape expands. ARaymond also reported improved BI performance, with reports that had taken several minutes returning faster after the move, and it has since increased Linux usage from about 2% to 20%, with further growth planned.
