3Shape, a Denmark-based developer of 3D scanners and software for dental and audio industries, needed clear visitor insights after launching a redesigned website. Senior Digital Project Manager Ailinne Espinoza sought an easy-to-use survey platform that could segment audiences (end customers vs. distributors), reveal where users sat in the buying funnel, and integrate with Segment and Google Sheets—limitations in prior tools made this difficult.

Using Survicate website surveys with flexible conditional logic, precise targeting, tagging and filtering, 3Shape ran dozens of surveys to profile visitors and trigger follow-ups. The results showed many visitors were less familiar with digital dentistry than expected, indicating the site should focus on first-time, early-funnel users; they also identified content needs (product vs. use-case info) and preference signals around demos, enabling more informed website and marketing decisions.
