With SurvalentONE SCADA and FLISR, Da Nang Power Company has Created a Smart Grid that will Improve the Quality and Reliability of its Power Supply and Increase Customer Satisfaction

Da Nang Power Company, the sole electricity supplier for Vietnam’s fourth largest city, needed to modernize an aging distribution network that required manual fault isolation and caused widespread, lengthy outages. To support Vietnam’s smart grid initiative, DNPC chose Survalent and its SurvalentONE SCADA platform, along with FLISR, to automate and centralize network operations.

Survalent worked with DNPC and local partner My Phuong Trading Co. Ltd. to commission SurvalentONE SCADA quickly and then deploy FLISR in phases after upgrading communications, equipment, and network models. The system automatically locates and isolates faults and restores service to unaffected areas, and DNPC expects a 43% reduction in SAIFI and a 16% reduction in SAIDI once FLISR is fully deployed, improving reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.
