Seongnam City Medical Center, a public hospital in South Korea, needed a system to monitor its Energy Storage Services (ESS) to manage peak loads and realize discounted electricity rates from its utility provider. Their challenge was to remotely track battery performance metrics and have a scalable system with remote alerting for critical events. They partnered with vendor Survalent to implement a solution using the Synergy Energy Management System.

Survalent implemented its Synergy EMS to monitor the ESS, enabling peak load shedding and remote alarm capabilities. The solution provided the required scalability and third-party interoperability. As a result, Seongnam City Medical Center achieved significant energy cost savings, totaling over $11,700 in one year.
