Da Nang Power Company targets 43% SAIFI reduction with Survalent

Da Nang Power Company (DNPC), an electrical utility in Vietnam, needed to automate its distribution grid to improve the reliability and operational efficiency of its power supply. Manual fault isolation during grid malfunctions was causing widespread and lengthy power interruptions. To overcome this, DNPC launched a smart grid initiative and began researching new automation technologies, ultimately selecting Survalent and its SurvalentONE SCADA and FLISR solutions.

Survalent implemented its SurvalentONE SCADA to automate and centralize network operations and its FLISR solution for improved distribution management. Working with a local partner, the SCADA system was commissioned within 45 days. Once fully deployed, the Survalent solutions are expected to yield a 43% decrease in SAIFI and a 16% reduction in SAIDI, significantly improving grid reliability and establishing DNPC as a model for modernization in Vietnam.
