SurfaceID partnered with Buspas to define, design, and prototype a next-generation smart bus stop. This required a durable, fire-safe enclosure with displays that remained readable at all times while withstanding environmental stress.

The solution implemented by SurfaceID integrated industrial design and engineering to create a permanent shelter with e-ink displays, power management, and connectivity. The final BusPas system delivers live transit information to passengers and provides valuable traffic data to transit agencies. The results achieved include improved operational efficiency, scalable bus services that save millions of dollars for agencies, and a reduction of thousands of cubic meters of carbon from the environment.
