MBO Amersfoort - Customer Case Study

The customer, MBO Amersfoort, faced the challenge of implementing flexible and personalized education for students, particularly lateral entrants in logistics. Their traditional exam structures and systems were too rigid to allow students to enter evidence of learning from diverse contexts. To address this, they partnered with the vendor SURF and utilized the e-portfolio system MijnPortfolio, developed by Paragin.

The solution, developed in co-creation with SURF and other partners, was a modular learning pathway supported by the MijnPortfolio e-portfolio. This system allows students to upload various forms of evidence for assessment and enables programs to set clear validation criteria. As a direct result, MBO Amersfoort successfully created a flexible training program where students can earn certificates module-by-module. The positive outcome of the pilot is now influencing the school's broader strategy for contemporary education, with the insights gained being applied to their new 'Eigentijds Onderwijs' program.
