Wdi Device Uses Sureedge® to Successfully Migrate Workloads to their New Nutanix Infrastructure

WDI Device, a global company based in Ontario, Canada, needed to move workloads from physical servers to a new Nutanix AHV infrastructure. Its early attempts with free P2V and V2V tools caused errors during conversion, and applications such as Autodesk, Jira, and Valt would not start correctly after migration, leaving the company stuck for more than a month and a half.

Sureline Systems was brought in to investigate and found file system metadata issues likely caused by earlier third-party migration attempts. Using SUREedge Migrator, Sureline Systems cleaned up the environment, tested the files, and migrated the physical and VMware VMs to Nutanix AHV. WDI Device completed the migration successfully and said the process saved days of work, with the software described as “point, click and done.”
