Front-to-back solution puts BanBif at the forefront of Peruvian trade finance

BanBif, a mid-sized Peruvian commercial bank and member of the Spanish IF Group, needed a more flexible way to manage growing trade finance volumes after its legacy core-system module became too limited for standardization, speed, and scalability. To address this, BanBif turned to Surecomp and its integrated front-to-back trade finance solution, including IBSnet back office and NetIMEX, later branded as allNETT.

Surecomp’s solution enabled BanBif to handle import and export transactions more efficiently, support an internet-based customer front end called BIFtrade, and grow without adding manpower. The bank reported 30% annual trade finance growth over two years, became the first Peruvian bank to offer a front-end trade finance platform, and saw stronger efficiency, STP usage, and customer adoption, with heavy users continuing to rely on the system.
