Case Study: West Midlands Trains achieves stronger cyber resilience and compliance with SureCloud

A SureCloud Case Study

Preview of the West Midlands Trains Case Study

West Midlands Trains Uses SureCloud’s Cybersecurity Services

West Midlands Trains, an operator of essential rail services carrying over 200,000 passengers daily, faced the challenge of managing evolving cyber threats while meeting obligations from the Department for Transport and frameworks such as the NIS (OES), ISO27001 and NIST. To strengthen its security posture and maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability across its estate, West Midlands Trains engaged SureCloud, using SureCloud’s Cybersecurity Services and their cloud-based Platform as part of a Cybersecurity-as-a-Service package.

SureCloud delivered a tech-enabled service that combined penetration testing with its Platform to centralise testing outcomes, assign concurrent remediation work, and provide clear evidence for compliance and continual improvement. The engagement gave West Midlands Trains greater visibility of vulnerabilities, prioritized actionable remediation, and helped justify investment to senior management; WMT reported strong satisfaction, has recommended SureCloud to partners, and will continue to work with SureCloud going forward.
