Virtual Cabinet, a secure document management and client portal provider with around 45,000 customers and 500,000 portal users, needed continuous, creative security testing to protect the highly sensitive data its clients in legal, financial and accountancy sectors entrust to it. Virtual Cabinet moved from a scripted testing approach to working with SureCloud, engaging their CREST‑accredited Pentest‑as‑a‑Service and Vulnerability Management capabilities to get a stronger “test to break” mentality and a more consultative, exploratory security assessment.

SureCloud ran a bespoke programme — beginning with scoping calls and delivering mobile, web and API penetration testing alongside live access to findings via its Vulnerability Management solution — enabling improved internal reporting and faster remediation. As a result, SureCloud helped Virtual Cabinet identify, analyse and remediate vulnerabilities, meet strict regulatory compliance demands, and maintain an ongoing, high level of security and integrity across its software and portal.
