Rotherham Council reduces the cost and complexity of ICT security compliance with SureCloud

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council faced the challenge of protecting systems and sensitive citizen data across a large estate—including 4,600 workstations and services for housing, schools and care—while supporting increased home-working on a shrinking budget. The council needed to meet PSN and PCI DSS requirements and found traditional PDF penetration test reports hard to action, so it engaged SureCloud and its SureCloud Platform and services to improve vulnerability visibility and compliance.

SureCloud delivered a combination of CESG CHECK penetration testing, the SureCloud Platform Vulnerability Management, PCI ASV scanning and SIEM/protective monitoring, plus integrated security consultancy to automate GRC processes and provide dashboard traffic‑light reporting. As a result SureCloud helped Rotherham reduce monitoring manpower and salary costs, produce faster, cheaper reports, prove and remediate issues, and achieve a significant reduction in security vulnerabilities within six months while improving ongoing compliance.
