Smart renovation 3D real estate data as key to efficiency

elk group, a maintenance company, faced the challenge of finding an efficient and complete way to gather data for a housing renovation tender. They partnered with the vendor supRmen to explore using 3D real estate data to accurately scan roofs and facades, create a photorealistic model for a complete overview, and determine dimensions and detect damages.

The solution from supRmen involved scanning the buildings with drones and high-resolution cameras to create a detailed digital 3D model. This allowed elk group to extract accurate dimensions for planning and ordering materials, saving an estimated week's worth of travel time for employees. The model also served as a central tool for collaboration with all partners and subcontractors, leading to considerable efficiency gains throughout the project's implementation.
